The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Sakarya BSB as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sakarya BSB defeated 8th ranked Denizli in Sakaraya 71-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Denizli. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Sakarya BSB made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Balikesir and Buyukcekmece. Denizli at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. Denizli will play next round against Mersin trying to get back on the winning streak. Sakarya BSB will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Gelisim in Izmir.
