Regular Season Round 2: Atomeromu - Gussing 70-80

Rather expected game when Hungarian Atomeromu (0-2) lost to Austrian Gussing Knights (2-0) in Paks 70-80 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Gussing Knights. Atomeromu was better in fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. point guard Thomas Klepeisz (185-91) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Five Gussing Knights players scored in double figures. Gussing Knights' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Atomeromu. Gussing Knights will face Trabzonspor on the road in the next round. Atomeromu will play against U-Banca TR in Cluj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
