Regular Season Round 8: Naestved - Randers 84-99

Another interesting game for Randers (5-3) which played on the court of 5th ranked Naestved (4-4). Sixth ranked Randers had an easy win 99-84. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Naestved was better in third quarter 29-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Randers dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Naestved's 34 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Naestved 41-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. Serbian guard Milan Stanojevic (183-86, college: E.Washington, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 22 points and 6 assists and swingman Philip Hertz (194-92, college: Rio Grande) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Randers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Svendborg. Naestved at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with SISU. Randers will play against Svendborg (#5) at home in the next round. Naestved will play against the league's leader Bakken in Aarhus and hopes to get back on the winning track.
