Regular Season Round 4: Macae - Vivo/Franca 78-79

Bottom-ranked Macae (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 79-78 loss to fourth ranked Vivo/Franca (3-1) in Macae. Macae cut a 15-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. They made 23-of-25 charity shots (92.0 percent) during the game. American point guard Jamaal Smith (175-85, college: N.Mexico) added 16 points and 4 assists for lost side. Macae's coach Leonardo Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vivo/Franca moved-up to third place. Macae at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Vivo/Franca's next round opponent will be Liga Sorocaba (#6) in Sorocabana. Macae will play on the road against Unitri (#14) in Uberlandia and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
