Regular Season Round 8: Lighthouse TR - Forli 87-89

A very close game took place in Trapani between Forli and Lighthouse TR. Fifteenth ranked Forli (3-5) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Lighthouse TR (4-4). Forli managed to escape with a 2-point win 89-87 on Saturday evening. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-15. But Lighthouse TR won second period 28-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forli shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by power forward Patrick Baldassarre (200-86, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Lighthouse TR. American forward Christopher Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Four Forli and five Lighthouse TR players scored in double figures. Forli moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Lighthouse TR dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Forli will meet at home Casalpusterlengo (#13) in the next round. Lighthouse TR will play against Sigma Barcellona (#12) and hope to secure a win.
