Rather expected game when 11th ranked Paris-Levallois (4-6) lost on the road to ninth ranked SPO Rouen (5-4) 64-58. Paris-Levallois was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 19-9 charge of SPO Rouen, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Paris-Levallois 47-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Italian-American forward Joe Trapani (203-88, college: Boston Coll.) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Alain Koffi (207-83, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL) scored 10 points. Paris-Levallois' coach Gregor Beugnot rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. SPO Rouen have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Paris-Levallois at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with Orleans. SPO Rouen will play against STB Le Havre (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Paris-Levallois will play against Le Mans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
