Liga Nacional top team - Universidad de Concepcion (13-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Puente Alto (2-13) 93-83. Puente Alto was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Universidad de Concepcion players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The former international guard Eduardo Marechal (186-85) fired 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Dallas Green (203-88, college: Robert Morris) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Universidad de Concepcion players scored in double figures. American forward Donovan Johnson (201-92, college: Ky Wesleyan) produced 27 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import center Dazmond Starke (201-90, college: Ky Wesleyan) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Universidad de Concepcion have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record.
