There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked STB Le Havre (5-6) defeated on the road higher ranked SPO Rouen (6-5) 76-68 on Tuesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-18. But SPO Rouen won second period 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American-Dominican swingman Ricardo Greer (197-78, college: Pittsburgh) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Venezuelan guard John Cox (195-81, college: USF) helped adding 21 points. Five STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. American guard Daequan Cook (195-87, college: Ohio St.) responded with 20 points and the former international center Alain Koffi (207-83, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points. STB Le Havre moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted SPO Rouen dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. STB Le Havre will face Paris-Levallois (#10) at home in the next round. SPO Rouen will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#18) in Boulogne-sur-Mer and hope to win that game.
