Regular Season Round 11: Randers - Horsholm 103-96

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Randers (7-4) beat at home 9th ranked Horsholm (1-10) 103-96 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 36-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Randers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Horsholm's 44 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Randers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Joe Benjamin (200-83, college: W.Virginia St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Chanan Colman (191-84, college: Chipola JC) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side. Forward Daniel Mortensen (203-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Derek Semenas (190, college: Cardinal Stritch) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Horsholm in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Randers maintains fifth place with 7-4 record. Horsholm lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Randers will meet bottom-ranked Aalborg (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Horsholm will play against Svendborg and hope to win that game.
