The game in Ancud supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Colo Colo (10-7) played at the court of 8th ranked AB Ancud (6-11). Colo Colo did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Colo Colo. AB Ancud managed to win fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Franco Morales (179-92) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) chipped in 23 points. Colo Colo's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Marquis Johnson (180-86) added 15 points respectively. Four AB Ancud players scored in double figures. Colo Colo moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Osorno. AB Ancud lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Colo Colo will meet higher ranked CD Castro (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AB Ancud will play against Puerto Montt (#12) and hope to secure a win.
