Regular Season Round 12: KUKS Koszalin - Kotwica 60-69

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Kotwica (5-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked KUKS Koszalin (0-10) 69-60 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 37-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kotwica made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while KUKS Koszalin only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded KUKS Koszalin 47-35 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. KUKS Koszalin was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Grzegorz Arabas (191-78, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Sebastian Zakrzewski contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Michal Dudek (182-88) replied with 6 points, 8 assists and 5 steals and Pawel Czubak (186-93) added 14 points in the effort for KUKS Koszalin. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kotwica moved-up to sixth place in Group A. Newly promoted KUKS Koszalin still closes the standings with ten games lost. Kotwica will face higher ranked Asseco II (#5) in Gdynia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KUKS Koszalin will play on the road against the league's leader Notec (#1) in Inowroclaw and hopes to get finally their first victory.
