Regular Season Round 19: AB Ancud - Puente Alto 92-73

Ninth ranked AB Ancud (7-11) crushed at home 11th ranked Puente Alto (2-16) by 19 points 92-73, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by AB Ancud. Puente Alto was better in fourth quarter 29-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Puente Alto 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Forward Donovan Johnson (201-92, college: Ky Wesleyan) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and center Dazmond Starke (201-90, college: Ky Wesleyan) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Puente Alto. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Puente Alto's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. AB Ancud moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Las Animas. Puente Alto lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 16 games lost. AB Ancud's next round opponent will be higher ranked Osorno (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Puente Alto will play against Universidad Catolica (#7) and hope to win that game.
