Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Socar Petkim and 8th ranked Adanaspor had identical 6-4 record. This time Socar Petkim used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Adana 86-72. Socar Petkim outrebounded Adanaspor 44-30 including a 18-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American-DR Congolese center Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) accounted for 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Osby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Socar Petkim players scored in double figures. Forward Kerem Ozkan (201-88) came up with 25 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Mike Davis (205-88, college: Illinois) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Adanaspor in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Socar Petkim maintains sixth place with 7-4 record, which they share with Gelisim. Adanaspor at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Gediz. Socar Petkim will play against league's leader Buyukcekmece on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adanaspor will play against Mamak DSI (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
