The game in Jelenia Gora was also quite interesting. Second ranked Gornik (11-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Sudety (4-9). Gornik defeated Sudety 75-60 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-60. Gornik shot 17 for 25 from the free-throw line, while Sudety only scored one point from the stripe. The former international power forward Piotr Niedzwiedzki (211-93) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Bartlomiej Jozefowicz (192-80) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Gornik players scored in double figures. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) responded with 27 points and 6 assists and power forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Gornik keeps a position of Group D leader, which they share with Nysa Klodzko. Sudety lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Gornik will face Rawia (#7) in Rawicz in the next round where they are favorite. Sudety will play on the road against Miedzychod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
