Regular Season Round 13: Wolfpack - Randers 99-84

Everything could happen in Copenhagen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Wolfpack and 5th ranked Randers had identical 8-4 record. This time Wolfpack used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Randers 99-84 on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack. Randers managed to win third quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Wolfpack won last quarter 28-14. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Randers' 30. Wolfpack forced 19 Randers turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. American point guard Ryan White (180-88, college: Texas St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and international forward Casper Hesseldal (198-85, college: Dickinson St.) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Wolfpack players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) responded with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) scored 25 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Wolfpack maintains fourth place with 9-4 record. Loser Randers keep the fifth position with five games lost. Wolfpack's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Copenhagen SISU.
