Regular Season Round 13: Stelmet ZG - Rosa Radom 73-59

The game between third ranked Rosa (9-4) and fourth ranked Stelmet (10-3) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Rosa was defeated by Stelmet in Zielona Gora 59-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rosa. The game was mostly controlled by Stelmet. Rosa managed to win second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Rosa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) contributed with 4 points and 13 assists for the winners. American power forward Kim Adams (201-82, college: Arkansas St.) answered with 11 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian power forward Uros Mirkovic (205-82, agency: BeoExcell) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rosa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stelmet have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Slask Wroclaw. Rosa at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Stelmet is looking forward to face Polpharma (#11) in Starogard in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rosa will play at home against Energa Czarni (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
