Regular Season Round 16: Planasa NV - Palma 67-73

The most important game in the last round took place in Pamplona between second ranked Planasa NV (10-5) and sixth ranked Palma (9-6) on Sunday night. Planasa NV was defeated by Palma in a tough game at home 67-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Planasa NV. Planasa NV was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-16 charge of Palma, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Comsport) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Sergio Llorente (187-90) who added 10 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Palma players scored in double figures. Palma's coach Angel Cepeda used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Pablo Almazan (202-89) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Marcos Portalez (204-95) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Palma have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Palma maintains sixth position with 9-6 record, which they share with Burgos. Planasa NV at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. They share the position with Ourense and Breogan. Palma is looking forward to face Cocinas.com (#13) in Logrono in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Planasa NV will play on the road against CB Prat (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
