The biggest surprise of round 14 in TBL took place in Istanbul where guest Anadolu Efes (#1) barely escaped a defeat edging second-ranked Besiktas by 1 point 78-77 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Besiktas. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 21-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Anadolu Efes made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international Cedi Osman (201-95) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Greek Stratos Perperoglou (203-84) chipped in 15 points. The former international guard Engin Atsur (194-84, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Beo Basket) produced 17 points and 6 assists and American guard Chris Lofton (188-86, college: Tennessee) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Anadolu Efes (11-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position.
