Very important is a road loss of second ranked Wuerzburg (10-4) against fourth ranked BG Karlsruhe (9-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Wuerzburg was defeated by BG Karlsruhe in Karlsruhe 86-75. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Wuerzburg. BG Karlsruhe made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Wuerzburg turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Rouven Roessler (198-80) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188-89) contributed with 10 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five BG Karlsruhe players scored in double figures. BG Karlsruhe's coach Ralf Rehberger allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Donovan Morris (191-84, college: Long Beach St.) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Christopher Wolf (198-95) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Wuerzburg. BG Karlsruhe maintains fourth place in Group South with 9-5 record. Newly promoted Wuerzburg keeps the second position with four games lost. BG Karlsruhe's next round opponent will be TV Langen (#9) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Wuerzburg will play against the league's leader Iserlohn (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
