Regular Season Round 18: MKS DG 2 - Gimbasket Wroclaw 84-46

Not a big story in a game in Dabrowa Gornicza where 11th ranked Gimbasket Wroclaw (1-16) was rolled over by ninth ranked MKS DG 2 (6-11) 84-46 on Sunday. The game without a history. MKS DG 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Gimbasket Wroclaw's 28. MKS DG 2 forced 31 Gimbasket Wroclaw turnovers and outrebounded them 49-31 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bartosz Wrobel (190-95) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jakub Wantuch (189-98) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. MKS DG 2's coach Rafal Knap felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Lukasz Kubik (201-92) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Kacper Wasilewski (184-96) scored 14 points. MKS DG 2 moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Sudety and Slask 2 Wroclaw. Loser Gimbasket Wroclaw keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. MKS DG 2 will face league's second-placed MCKiS Jaworz. in Jaworzno in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gimbasket Wroclaw will play at home against Polonia Bytom (#3) and hope to win that game.
