There was no surprise in Lublin where 5th ranked Wisla Krakow (7-8) was crushed by third ranked AZS UMCS (12-4) 81-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS UMCS. Wisla Krakow was better in third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. AZS UMCS outrebounded Wisla Krakow 43-31 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Adam Mysliwiec (200-90) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Swingman Dawid Mysliwiec (195-88) chipped in 14 points. Forward Mateusz Piotrowski (196-88) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Rafal Zglobicki (193-94) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS UMCS have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted AZS UMCS maintains third place in Group B with 12-4 record having four points less than leader Nysa Klodzko. Loser Wisla Krakow keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. AZS UMCS will have a break next round. Wisla Krakow will play on the road against MKS Skierniew. (#7) in Skierniewice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
