1Liga top team - Stal Ostrow (14-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Spojnia (10-8) in Stargard 77-64. Spojnia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Tomasz Andrzejewski (204-79) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Adrian Mroczek-Truskowski (192-85) supported him with 20 points. Four Stal Ostrow players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by the former international center Rafal Bigus (214-76, college: Villanova) did not help to save the game for Spojnia. Swingman Piotr Pluta (193-81, agency: Promotex) added 22 points. Stal Ostrow have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-4 record. Spojnia at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Zaglebie and Rosa II Radom. Stal Ostrow will play against Pogon Prudnik (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Spojnia will play against Krosno (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
