Very important is a road loss of second ranked Wuerzburg (11-6) against eleventh ranked Speyer (5-12) on Saturday night. Visiting Wuerzburg was defeated by Speyer in Speyer 79-69. The best player for the winners was American Marcus Smallwood (200-82, college: N.Illinois, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-92) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Smallwood is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Speyer's coach Mbassa Carl allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Christopher Wolf (198-95) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and American center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively.
