Regular Season Round 20: Manital Torino - Casalpusterlengo 85-74
Date: February 1, 2015
Very predictable result when fourth ranked Manital Torino (13-7) won against at home 11th ranked Casalpusterlengo (8-12) 85-74 on Sunday. Manital Torino had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St.) who scored that evening 30 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Stefano Mancinelli (204-83) supported him with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Manital Torino's coach Luca Bechi used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds by power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) did not help to save the game for Casalpusterlengo. Cuban Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Five Casalpusterlengo players scored in double figures. Manital Torino moved-up to third place, which they share with FCM Ferentino. Newly promoted Casalpusterlengo dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Manital Torino will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Casalpusterlengo will play against Angelico Biella (#5) and hope to secure a win.
