Very predictable result when tenth ranked AZS Polfarmex (8-11) won against 15th ranked Wikana Start (5-14) in Lublin 91-80 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS Polfarmex. Wikana Start was better in fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for Czech Patrik Auda (206-89, college: Seton Hall) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Kwamain Mitchell (178-89, college: St.Louis) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four AZS Polfarmex players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Bartosz Diduszko (198-87) answered with 28 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and American guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for Wikana Start. AZS Polfarmex moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Anwil. Wikana Start at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. AZS Polfarmex will face MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#12) at home in the next round. Wikana Start will play against Twarde Pierniki in Torun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
