Regular Season Round 22: MKS DG 2 - AZS AWF K-ce 71-95

Everything went according to plan when top-ranked AZS AWF K-ce (20-0) outplayed 8th ranked MKS DG 2 (7-13) in Dabrowa Gornicza 95-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS AWF K-ce. MKS DG 2 was better in second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS AWF K-ce dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 32. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 39-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. AZS AWF K-ce looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Quite impressive performance for forward Filip Czyznielewski (198-91) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. AZS AWF K-ce's coach Miroslaw Stawowski felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. Center Piotr Zielinski (200-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Bartosz Wrobel (190-95, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for MKS DG 2. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AZS AWF K-ce have an impressive 20-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group C with 20-0 record. Newly promoted MKS DG 2 keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost.
