There was no surprise when 11th ranked Sixers (8-11) were crushed on the road by fifth ranked Oldenburg (11-9) 95-64 on Sunday. Oldenburg made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Dominic Lockhart (198-94) fired 15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American guard Preston Wynne (184-87, college: Vanguard) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four Oldenburg players scored in double figures. Robert Zinn (196-95) produced 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian point guard Tristan Blackwood (183-85) added 11 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Oldenburg moved-up to fourth place in Group North. Loser Sixers dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Oldenburg will face higher ranked AstroStars (#3) in Bochum in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sixers will play at home against Titans (#6) and hope to win that game.
