Everything went according to plan in Moscow where second ranked Russian CSKA (6-1) outscored bottom-ranked Italian Armani Milano (1-6) 97-75. The game was mostly controlled by CSKA. Armani Milano was better in third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Armani Milano 43-20 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. CSKA players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Armani Milano helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. French Nando De Colo (196-87) contributed with 18 points, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. CSKA's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) added 18 points in the effort for Armani Milano. Five CSKA and four Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Defending Russian champion keeps a position of Group F leader, which they share with Olympiacos. Armani Milano lost fourth consecutive game. Defending Italian champion stay at the bottom place with six games lost. CSKA's next round opponent will be Fenerbahce Ulker (#3) in Istanbul, which may be the game of the day. Armani Milano will play on the road against BC Nizhny Novgorod (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
