Givova Napoli (9-11) survived in overtime against Casalpusterlengo (9-13) by two points 82-80. The hosts were tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They eventually won an overtime period 14-12. Strangely Casalpusterlengo outrebounded Givova Napoli 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. The former international power forward David Brkic (210-82, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Andrea Traini (180-92) supported him with 21 points and 5 assists. Even 24 points and 6 rebounds by American Alvin Young (188-75, college: Niagara) did not help to save the game for Casalpusterlengo. Power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) added 18 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Givova Napoli moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Casalpusterlengo dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Givova Napoli's next round opponent will be higher ranked Trieste (#8) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Casalpusterlengo will play against FCM Ferentino and hope to win that game.
