Regular Season Round 22: Recklinghausen - BSW Sixers 68-65

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Sixers (8-15) were edged on the road by eleventh ranked Recklinghausen (10-12) 68-65 on Saturday. Recklinghausen shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American-Italian swingman Joe Scott (192-88, college: St.Thomas) fired 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Christoph Bruns (180-87) chipped in 20 points. Robert Zinn (196-95) produced 12 points and 4 assists and American Adrian Hill (203-84, college: Rutgers) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Sixers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Recklinghausen moved-up to ninth place in Group North. Sixers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Recklinghausen will face league's leader Seawolves in Rostock in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sixers will play on the road against the league's second-placed SC Rist Wedel (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
