Second Stage Round 2: Elitzur Ramla - Ramat Hasharon 77-62

No shocking result in a game when Elitzur Ramla (16-5) defeated at home Ramat Hasharon (9-12) 77-62 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Elitzur Ramla. Ramat Hasharon managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ramat Hasharon to just 7 points in first quarter. Elitzur Ramla made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ramat Hasharon 45-34 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Danielle McCray (186-87, college: Kansas) who scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Alex Montgomery (185-88, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. Elitzur Ramla's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Alyssa Baron (178-92, college: Pennsylvania) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard A'Dia Mathies (175-91, college: Kentucky) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Elitzur Ramla are looking forward to face Maccabi Ramat Hen (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ramat Hasharon will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
