An interesting game for Maccabi Ramat Hen (15-7) which played road game in Ramla against Elitzur Ramla (16-6). Maccabi Ramat Hen managed to get a 5-point victory 69-64. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 69-64. Maccabi Ramat Hen made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center Shamela Hampton (191-87, college: UNLV) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Kayla Thornton (185-92, college: UTEP) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Maccabi Ramat Hen players scored in double figures. Danielle McCray (186-87, college: Kansas) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Alex Montgomery (185-88, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Elitzur Ramla. Maccabi Ramat Hen are looking forward to face Ramat Hasharon (#5) at home in the next round. Elitzur Ramla will play against Bnot Hertzeliya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
