Sixth-ranked Randers (12-15) gave a tough game to third ranked Svendborg (18-9). Svendborg managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 17-9 Randers' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 85-82 at the end of the game. Svendborg players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Johnell Smith (180-80, college: New Orleans) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Spanish forward Damian Jimenez (198-86) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Svendborg's coach Craig Pedersen allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for Randers in the defeat. Five Svendborg and four Randers players scored in double figures. Svendborg have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 18-9 record having six points less than leader Bakken. Randers at the other side keep the sixth position with 15 games lost.
