Rather predictable result in Lublin where fourth ranked AZS UMK Torun (9-4) beat 7th ranked AZS UMCS (5-8) 90-83 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 27-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. AZS UMCS was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The former international center Dawid Przybyszewski (215-81, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was forward Adam Mysliwiec (200-90) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Mateusz Wisniewski (202-91) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four AZS UMCS players scored in double figures. AZS UMK Torun have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group E. Newly promoted AZS UMCS keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. AZS UMK Torun will face Ksiezak Lowicz (#4) on the road in the next round. AZS UMCS will play against AZS PGd and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
