Svendborg fired past Randers in the playoffs opener. The game without a history. Svendborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Randers' 30. Svendborg forced 24 Randers turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 71.4 percentage. Svendborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Randers' players. Swingman Claus Magaard (194-86) fired 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) chipped in 19 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five Svendborg players scored in double figures. American power forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) added 19 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
