Second Stage Round 7: Notec - AZS UMCS 93-56

2Liga top team - Notec (13-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked AZS UMCS (6-9) in Inowroclaw 93-56. The game was mostly controlled by Notec. AZS UMCS was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to AZS UMCS's 32. Notec forced 19 AZS UMCS turnovers and outrebounded them 43-19 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a great evening for Mikolaj Grod (194-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Notec players scored in double figures. Notec's coach Jacek Stajszczak felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Adam Mysliwiec (200-90) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Dawid Mysliwiec (195-88) scored 21 points. Notec have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group E with 13-2 record. Newly promoted AZS UMCS keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Notec will play against league's second-placed Ksiezak Lowicz on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AZS UMCS will play against Asseco II (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
