Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Bayer Giants (10-20) were rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Science City Jena (18-12) 92-69 on Saturday. Science City Jena dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Bayer Giants' 22. Science City Jena forced 22 Bayer Giants turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Bayer Giants were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Julius Wolf (202-93) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Kendall Chones (201-84, college: Colgate) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jake Koch (206-90, college: N.Iowa) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian point guard Willy Manigat (180-87) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Science City Jena moved-up to fourth place. Loser Bayer Giants dropped to the fourteenth position with 20 games lost.
