Regular Season Round 25: MKS DG - Wikana-Start 104-95

Rather expected game when 14th ranked Wikana Start (7-18) lost on the road to twelfth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (9-16) 104-95 on Saturday. Wikana Start trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 35-26 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 95-104 at the end of the game. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for center David Weaver (207-87, college: Wake Forest) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 21 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) answered with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and center Robert Lewandowski (208-89, college: Texas Tech) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Wikana Start. Five MKS Dabrowa Gornicza and four Wikana Start players scored in double figures. Newly promoted MKS Dabrowa Gornicza maintains twelfth place with 9-16 record. Wikana Start at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will face higher ranked Anwil (#11) in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wikana Start will play at home against Slask and hope to win that game.
