Regular Season Round 34: Neptunas - Juventus 69-71

The most exciting game of round 34 in the LKL took place in Klaipeda. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Neptunas (27-6) to fourth ranked Juventus (21-12) 71-69 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Neptunas. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 20-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Neptunas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Simas Buterlevicius (200-88) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 rebounds. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (180-84, college: BYU, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Juventus players scored in double figures. The former international forward Deividas Gailius (200-88) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Simas Galdikas (204-87) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Neptunas. Neptunas' coach Kazys Maksvytis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Juventus have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 21-12 record. Neptunas at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Juventus will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Neptunas will play on the road against Nevezis in Kedainiai and is hoping to win this game.
