Regular Season Round 24: Elitzur Ramla - Hapoel K/S 80-98

Rather expected game when 14th ranked Elitzur Ramla (2-22) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (9-15) 98-80. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Kfar Saba. Elitzur Ramla was better in third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Kfar Saba forced 19 Elitzur Ramla turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The winners were led by American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) who scored that evening 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and the other American import center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) supported him with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Hapoel Kfar Saba players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Billy White (203-89, college: San Diego St.) did not help to save the game for Elitzur Ramla. Naturalized German forward Idan Rejwan (197-91) added 23 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Kfar Saba maintains eleventh position with 9-15 record. Elitzur Ramla lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Hapoel Kfar Saba's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Ashkelon (#10) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Elitzur Ramla will play against Hapoel Afula (#5) and hope to win that game.
