Regular Season Round 11: Qazvin - Mahram 65-84

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Qazvin (1-8) was crushed at home by third ranked Mahram (8-2) 84-65 on Thursday. Mahram dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Qazvin's 32. It was a great evening for international center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-94) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Vahid Eslami (197) responded with 18 points and Majid Salehi scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Mahram and four Qazvin players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains third place with 8-2 record behind leader Petrochimi. Qazvin lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Mahram will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Qazvin will play against Sanaye (#5) and hope to win that game.
