Regular Season Round 30: Final Genclik - Sakarya BSB 87-71

The most important game in the last round took place in Bursa between second ranked Sakarya BSB (23-7) and thirteenth ranked Final Genclik (11-19) on Wednesday night. Sakarya BSB was defeated by Final Genclik on the road 87-71. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Sakarya BSB. The game was mostly controlled by Final Genclik. Sakarya BSB managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Final Genclik made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Sakarya BSB turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Sakarya BSB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St., agency: Two Points) scored 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Final Genclik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Yigitcan Turna (187-87) with 15 points and 7 assists and American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Final Genclik moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Mamak DSI. Newly promoted Sakarya BSB keeps the second position with seven games lost. Final Genclik is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Mersin (#18) in Akdeniz in the next round where they are favorite. Sakarya BSB will play at home against Akhisar Bld (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
