Regular Season Round 30: Palma - Oviedo 77-64

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Palma (16-12) beat 10th ranked Oviedo CB (11-17) in S'Arenal 77-64 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Palma. Oviedo CB managed to win third quarter 21-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Oviedo CB 47-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. Center Mario Cabanas (207-85) notched 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Antoni Vicens (203-90) supported him with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Five Palma players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by Serbian Nikola Cvetinovic (203-88, college: Akron, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Oviedo CB. American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) added 7 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Palma have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Forca Lleida. Oviedo CB lost third consecutive game. Loser Oviedo CB dropped to the eleventh position with 17 games lost.
