Regular Season Round 29: Nantes - Lille 88-66

Date: April 17, 2015
Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Nantes (17-12) outscored at home 14th ranked Lille Metropole (12-18) 88-66. The game without a history. Nantes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Nantes outrebounded Lille Metropole 45-26 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by Lille Metropole helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Nantes players scored in double figures. Cape Verdean-Portuguese Ivan Almeida (198-89, college: Stonehill) answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian center Franko Kastropil (212-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Lille Metropole. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nantes moved-up to fifth place. Lille Metropole at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Nantes' next round opponent will be Poitiers (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Lille Metropole will play against Orchesien BC and hope to win that game.
