Fourteenth-ranked Afyon (10-21) made lots of trouble for tenth ranked Socar Petkim (15-16). Socar Petkim managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. The former international guard Firat Aydemir (187-80) came up with 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American power forward Raymond Sykes (206-86, college: Clemson, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Afyon in the defeat. Newly promoted Socar Petkim maintains tenth place with 15-16 record. Afyon at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth position with 21 games lost. Socar Petkim's next round opponent will be ITU Istanbul (#17) at home and are hoping to win another game. Afyon will play against Mamak DSI and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
