Second Stage Round 10: AZS PGd - AZS UMCS 75-79

Everything could happen in Gdansk at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked AZS UMCS and 8th ranked AZS PGd had identical 8-9 record. But AZS PGd was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Lublin 79-75 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 25-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. AZS PGd was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (198-92) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 steals. Forward Adam Mysliwiec (200-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Pawel Pawlowski (196-82) replied with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Kamil Hanke (192-95) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for AZS PGd. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. AZS UMCS have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in Group E. AZS PGd at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost.
