Leader Maccabi T-A recorded the twenty sixth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (15-17) 86-74 in Tel-Aviv. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Nes-Ziona. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded Ironi Nes-Ziona 45-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. American swingman Devin Smith (196-83, college: Virginia) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A's coach Guy Goodes allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Mitchell Watt (208-89, college: Buffalo) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and naturalized Welsh Tal Michael Dunne (196-87) added 16 points in the effort for Ironi Nes-Ziona. Defending champion maintains first position with 26-6 record. Ironi Nes-Ziona at the other side keeps the eighth place with 17 games lost. Maccabi T-A will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Hapoel Eilat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
