Preliminary Round Day 3: MEXICO - COSTA RICA 79-37

Mexico cruised past Costa Rica to finish preliminary round undefeated. Six players came up with double figures in the victory. Ivan Montano recorded 15 points and 7 steals for the winners. Mexico built a 50:18 halftime lead. They maintained the lead throughout the second half and coasted to the victory. Orlando Torrero and Johnatan Reyes finished with 12 points each for the winners. Stephan Campbell responded with 14 points and 10 rebounds for Costa Rica.
