Liga DirecTV top team - Bucaros (16-0) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat eighth ranked Once Caldas (6-10) in Manizales 86-82. Once Caldas trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 35-28 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-86 at the end of the game. Bucaros made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a quality performance for American forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St.) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Jackson Michael accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Five Bucaros players scored in double figures. American forward Carlos Smith (206-90, college: Bowie St.) came up with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Canadian guard Shamar Coombs (185-86, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 32 points and 4 assists respectively for Once Caldas in the defeat. Bucaros have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. Newly promoted Bucaros maintains first place with 16-0 record. Once Caldas lost third consecutive game.
