Regular Season Round 2: Randers - Bakken 53-111
Date: October 8, 2015
The game in Randers supposed to be also quite interesting. Bakken (2-0) played at the court of Randers (0-2). Bakken smashed Randers 111-53 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 111-53. Bakken dominated on the defensive end, holding Randers to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Randers' 26. They outrebounded Randers 37-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Randers' players. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose CC) supported him with 12 points. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by American power forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) did not help to save the game for Randers. His fellow American import guard D.J. Smedley (180-84, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken will meet at home SISU in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Randers will play against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
